Thursday 18 July, also known as Mandela Day, is upon us and we’re planning to make a difference in the lives of the inspiring youths of Durbanville Children’s Home.
For many years, the Durbanville Children’s Home has made a lasting impact in our community and Mandela Day gives us the opportunity to give back to this great organisation.
“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” – Nelson Mandela
Mandela Day calls on us all, every day, to make the world a better place. Each year on 18 July we look back on what has been done, and forward to what will be done.
Making every day a Mandela Day celebrates Madiba’s life and legacy in a sustainable way that will bring about enduring change.
We have made contact with the Durbanville Children’s Home and received a list of their general needs for the rest of 2019.
The needs range from food parcels to toiletries, and from stationery to monetary donations. The list is long and with your help, we can donate some valuable items to these deserving youths.

If there is anything you can contribute towards this great cause, please feel free to bring it to any of our branches in Cape Town. On 18 July, we will then take all the items to the Durbanville Children’s Home.
You can drop your donations at any of these branches:
- Tyger Valley
- Century City
To find the correct address, click the branch name under ‘Facilities’ on the website or send us a message on our Facebook page.
